Brief about the Department English: The Department of English was established in the year 1993 under NEHU. The Department was upgraded to Degree level in the year 1995 and the college offered BA General English in the initial stage. The Department also played an important role in the introduction of Commerce in the Higher Secondary level and B.Com level, as English is being taught as General English and Alternative English. The Department was upgraded to BA Honours in the year 2004.
