As part of Silver Jubilee Ceremony Celebration BBS College organized host of events from the 23rd August till the 18th December 2018.

The Silver Jubilee Ceremony Celebration started On the 23rd August 2018. Shri. D.B. Gurung, President, Governing Body BBS College,the Chief Guest of the occassion hoisted the college flag at 9 am( morining) in presence of the esteem Members of Governing Body, Principal, Vice Principal, Members of Teaching and Non- Teaching Staffs and Students of the College.

His Excellency, the Governor of Meghalaya, Shri.Ganga Prasad in presence of the Founder Members, Donor Members, Former and present Members of Governing Body, Former and present Teaching and Non- Teaching Staffs of the College and Past Pupils, thereafter inaugurated the BBS College Silver Jubilee Celebration on the 23rd August 2018 (evening)

The college organized various programmes and competition as part of the Silver Jubilee Celebration Ceremony

The Games and Sports Committee,organised BBS College Invitational Chess Competition. Shri Sanbor Shullai, MLA, Government Deputy Chief Whip, Chairman on Subordination Legislation, Meghalaya Legislative Assembly & Chairman Meghalaya Tourism Development Corporation, Ltd graced the occasion as Chief Guest.

The Games and Sports Committee also organized BBS College Sliver Jubilee Invitational Football Tournament ( Inter College) where Shri Mohendro Rapsang, MLA, 18 West- Shillong ( Gen) Constituency, Meghalaya, graced the occasion as Chief Guest.

The BBS College Literary Committee, along with the Department of Hindi, Khasi and Nepali organized seminar in three language(s) Hindi, Khasi and Nepali. Prominent Scholars from all walks of life participated in the Seminar(s). The seminar(s) enable the College to publish the first College Journal ‘ GyanKunj’.

The Valedictory function for the Silver Jubilee was held in the month of December 2018 at Soso Tham Auditorium where Shri. A.L. Hek, Minister I/C, Health & F.W; I.P.R; Arts & Culture, Meghalaya, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and Shri Mohendro Rapsang, MLA, 18 West Shillong( Gen) Constituency, Meghalaya graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour.

Shri D.B. Gurung, President Governing Body, Shri. B.B. Chettri Secretary Governing Body, besides former and present members of Governing Body, Principals from various institutions, and prominent members from different Walk of life participated in the celebration of Silver Jubilee of BBS College which was marked by the release of BBS College Silver Jubilee Souvenir, First BBS College Journal ‘ GyanKunj’ and a documentary of the college; entitled " Roots" which gives the details of the college right from the inception. .
