The duration for the Higher Secondary course in Arts is two years. The College conducts classes for Arts stream in two shifts (Morning & Day) Students seeking admission are to note that the College reserves the right for the allotment of seats to the students as per the availability of seats and convenience of the College. They are also to note that the College Authority reserves the right to refuse admission without assigning any reason thereof.
COMPULSORY SUBJECTS1. English 2. Alternative English/ M.I.L. 3. Environmental Education
NOTE:The College offers Nepali, Hindi and Khasi as MIL.
Students seeking MIL other than that mentioned above are to seek special permission from the Principal.
The Principal, however, reserves the right to allow or refuse such cases in accordance with the convenience of the College.
Students are to choose any three of the following as Elective Subjects.
1. Political Science
2. Economics
3. Education
4. History
5. Philosophy
6. Second Language: Nepali, Khasi and Hindu (Anyone).
ADDITIONAL SUBJECT Students may also take an additional subject from amongst the subjects cited above subject to the approval of the College Authority.
NOTE
Students securing minimum 40% marks in Mathematics shall be eligible to take Economics as elective subjects.
The College reserves the right to make changes in the subject combination opted by the students on the basis of performance in the Internal Tests/ Examinations conducted by the College.
